Mnemonics

You know the “30 days hath September” rhyme to remember which months have which lengths? The only one I can ever remember is September.

One Response to “Mnemonics”

  1. A shortcoming of your parenting, of course.

As I recall it from my childhood:

    Thirty days hath September,
    April, June, and November.
    All the rest have thirty-one,
    except February alone—-
    which has twenty-eight in fine
    and in leap year, twenty-nine.

    I think that’s even sung…
