So… are you trying to tell me I should stop running realtime NX traffic through the wireless link while you’re trying to use it?

Incidentally, I wonder how much ping traffic sites like Yahoo and Google get. I mean, the Gentoo Handbook even recommends pinging yahoo.com to see if you’ve got internet access (http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?part=1&chap=3).
