You know, it would be awesome if I had a penny for everyone who slandered X without ever reading the protocol or offering a single concrete suggestion of anything wrong with it.
I’m not saying the XOrg implementation is terribly brilliant, but the protocol is hardly bad.

He might have been referring to things above the protocol level. Like… the XOrg implementation that he actually uses.
